From Al Centro Ceramica, these handcrafted cups are made from ceramic and local clay in Mexico. Glazed only on the inside, the final earth tones and textures are the result of the combination of clays exposed to the heat of the kiln.
This type of ceramic has different percentages of clays in order to "pigment" without the need to apply a colored glaze. When the materials react during firing, the heat influences the intensity of color that each piece will have - variations occur across projects.
